ABOUT US
A SWINDONIAN WOMAN, A CUMBRIAN QUEER AND A WELSHMAN THAT MOVES.
Founded in a 2020 lockdown fever dream by graduates of the Acting and Contemporary Theatre course at East 15, SPRING-HEELED THEATRE CO. is a Swindon and London based theatre company, with roots in Cumbria and Wales, focusing on theatrical, collaborative and brash new writing.
We aim to centre female voices and expand small moments to give them the gravity they deserve through physical and spoken storytelling. Stripping away the layers of expectations that people have for each other, for historical figures, for people different from themselves to foster a sense of kinship and self-reflection.
Let’s mess around, play and inject ooky spooky, grimy and mythical ideas into the pulsing vein of theatre.
